Fueling Your Creativity in 2025: A Live Webinar with Q&A
There's no single solution to unlocking your creativity. Many factors may be holding you back, from time and energy constraints to mental resistance or blockage. The key to breaking down barriers may be a single suggestion, whether it's a new way to form creative habits, a fresh angle to approach roadblocks, or an inspiring outlook that gives you permission to follow your creative instincts.
Anitra and Sarah have explored creativity from all angles throughout their lives, from creating their own art and crafts to guiding other creative people through challenges. Their insights will motivate and enlighten you, and you may just find the key that unlocks your creativity in 2025.
About the presenters
Anitra Budd has decades of experience in literary publishing, having served in roles from editing intern to independent bookstore seller to executive director of a nonprofit press. Anitra has written articles for numerous publications including Publisher’s Weekly and American Craft Council, and has several published educational books for children. As a public speaker, she’s served on panels, given presentations, and emceed events. She’s also taught undergrad and graduate students about writing, editing, and publishing. Anitra currently offers coaching for creators of all types through Springboard for the Arts. She's co-founder of Colfax Wordsmiths, a small business that offers writing, editing, public speaking, and other word-related services. She attended Carleton College and University of Minnesota; she has a B.A. in Latin and a Master's degree in Communications.
Sarah Morris spent the first years of her music career in Nashville, losing herself in the art of writing timeless Americana melodies. “Sarah Morris [is] a bright, clear, brilliant songwriter,” wrote Jon Hunt of L’Etoile Magazine. “…pure and crisp and perfect.” Since her 2011 debut album, Lonely or Free, Sarah’s career, like her songs, has been overflowing with delicious details. She's played countless shows and festivals in Minnesota, Wisconsin and beyond. Her subsequent albums have earned international airplay and considerable critical acclaim, and she's won a number of songwriting awards. In addition, Sarah's a superconnector in the Twin Cities music scene: She mentors and coaches other creators; is a longstanding member of the Singer/Songwriter Songwriting Challenge; and partners with music media platform Adventures in Americana to interview songwriters in her biweekly blog series, About That Song. She holds a degree from the Lawrence University Conservatory of Music.
Carol Roth, who co-founded Colfax Wordsmiths with Anitra in 2023, is an author with seven novels published in print and/or digital form. She's also an experienced marketing writer/editor and co-founder of Adventures in Americana. Carol dabbles in many areas; she’s a dedicated amateur guitarist, singer, occasional songwriter, and Thai language student. She holds a B.A. from Sarah Lawrence College.
